MINING INDUSTRY:

Skills audits are a “Must Have” to prevent accidents, lawsuit compensation claims, and to comply with all Health and Safety regulations.A mining company asked us to identify whether they had all their regulatory health and safety requirements in place and documented for the right people in the right places. In this way, they could ensure that all employees in their different roles had been trained properly according to the regulations. This put them proactively in a position to react to potential damage claims and lowered substantially associated expenses. 

 

WHOLESALE & RETAIL:

Complexity of operations, high number of staff, to properly introduce a new, costly Learning Management System (LMS).  A very innovative company urgently needed to implement a LMS. They had spent millions on it and wanted to get it working. In order to pre-populate their system correctly they had to do a skills audit. They were offered a discretionary grant by SETA to do this, however, under the condition to do it in 2 weeks. Nobody could do it. We did it in high quality within 2 weeks and they knew exactly what their current skill sets were. They could start their LMS in time at 100% accuracy and efficiency. 

TRANSPORTATION:

 Security, Safety, to verify highly specialized roles of Technicians, Crews; incl. verification of expiration of trainings, licenses and permits.We were asked by an airline who wanted to minimize the risk of any accidents or even deaths due to inadequately skilled staff, missing or expired licenses or permits from pilots, cabin crews or the technical maintenance personal. We did a Skills Gap Analysis with crucial recommendations regarding how to address existing gaps in skills, proper documentation and training within 3 weeks. Additionally, we assigned priorities to follow up actions. 

MANUFACTURING:

Health and Safety, to keep accreditation and to be able to continue manufacturing.A large manufacturing organization was about to lose their accreditation. They were forced to do skills audits; the deadline was imminent. They were quoted to do the skills audit for ZAR3.6M for 600 people over 8 months. Still, they only had 1 month.  We delivered everything complete within 3 weeks for ZAR 600,000. They could keep their accreditation and continue to manufacture.
