OVERVIEW
“The limitations of labour laws when presented with an extraordinary situation such as the risk of Covid-19 infection: the case for good industrial relations practices and going beyond the contract of employment. The point of departure being the Constitutional right to “fair labour practice” and finding a balance between the employee and his/her social economic environment; the employee at work; the consumer or client of the employee’s, employer’s products or services, i.e., the general public.
The webinar will explore working conditions – "the reality of being at work, as well as the options of being away from work.”
Cecilia will also be answering questions from delegates during this webinar; questions around:

- Work from home protocols

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Cecilia Brümmer is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa since 1987; a member of the National Bar Council of South Africa and a Co-founding partner of Chennells, Brümmer & Associates with Jeremy Chennells and its BEE initiative, CB Capacity Building Consultancy since 1994 and 2003 respectively. She has been involved in the field of Labour Law and Industrial Relations for the past 30 years, as a legal advisor, litigator, arbitrator, mediator, strategist, consultant, lecturer and trainer/facilitator.
