Formed in 2006 in Cape Town by Roland Geoffrey Nair - The Rivertones are one of South Africa’s leading reggae bands, known for their vibrant energy, soulful harmonies, and message of unity.
Blending classic roots reggae with modern influences, The Rivertones deliver a dynamic sound inspired by legends like Bob Marley and UB40 while showcasing original songs such as “Rainbow Nation” and “Rise and Shine.” Their music celebrates hope, harmony, and cultural connection.
The band has toured widely across South Africa and abroad, performing at major festivals, corporate events, and international concerts - including sharing stages with UB40 and members of The Wailers.
Roland Nair has performed in over 15 countries, and the group was invited by the government of Madagascar for national awareness concerts.
